Hey guys,

I just wanted to remind you all that the strike policy is in effect as we have started Mission I. I can see who has posted when via the Crew Activity, and also see which people are in saved posts, so don't worry about being mis-striked.

That being said, I will have to start to divvy out strikes soon. The plot is underway, and if you are having trouble coming up with an idea of what to post about, feel free to contact me, and I'll help out. That's what I'm here for!

Alright folks, we've officially started the new mission. Congratulations! We did very well over the last week, and posting has risen.

Those of you who have not contacted me, or posted, will receive strikes. Unfortunately, it's my duty to report that our Executive Officer is no longer with us. The position may remain open for this mission, although, I'm going to be actively pursuing other options.

If you feel your character would be worthy of this position, I would certainly entertain this; however, I request that you create a short "essay" of why you think you would make a good Executive Officer, and what you can contribute to the simm.

Obviously, characters with a rank of Ensign would not be able to jump up the ranks to Executive Officer, however there is always room for advancement for everyone.

Feel free to have your chars approach Captain Wyatt about this strange and elusive mission that has been given to the Andromeda. I would like to get this under way quickly, so hopefully you can keep up the excellent posts throughout the next few days.

Firstly, I would like to welcome Lieutenant Samantha Drake on board as our new Chief Science Officer. I know you will all make her welcome as well.

Secondly, I would like to remind all of you that as of Friday we will be starting our new mission, which includes a mission briefing. I will be making a post Friday (or early Saturday) whereby the senior staff will be in a mission briefing and you will be advised of our new mission. I will leave some time for your characters to express concerns, comments, questions, etc. and then we'll depart space dock.

I'd like the briefing to go by fairly quickly so we can get started on the mission. That being said, as of Friday you will be required to post once every 7 days. If not, you may receive strikes, 3 being the maximum within the allotted time.

For details of posting standards which includes format, time, and length, please see our Database. I highly recommend everyone review it A.S.A.P. so there is no confusion.

I know the rules can seem harsh, but I'd like the Andromeda to be the best simm in Obsidian Fleet, and I know we can make that possible.
